Six new cases of COVID-19 detected in last 24 hours in Dharan
DHARAN, Aug 29: A COVID-19 patient undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Science (BPKIHS) in Dharan died on Friday night.
A 84-year old woman from Badiya-6 of Siraha District succumbed to COVID-19 at around 11:20 pm on Friday, according to Dr Nidesh Sapkota, the spokesperson of the BPKIHS.

The old man was admitted to the hospital on August 22. He was tested positive for COVID-19 on the next day. The deceased was also a kidney patient, who was undergoing dialysis as well.
So far, 16 individuals have succumbed to COVID-19 infection at BPKIHS. In the past 24 hours, six new cases of COVID-19 including three Nepal Army personnel were detected in Dharan.
The army personnel deployed at ANFA quarantine facility in Dharan-17 were tested positive for the virus. Likewise, a 39-year old woman from Dharan-17 and two others at BPKIHS were diagnosed with COVID-19.
So far, 140 individuals have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in Dharan alone.
