KATHMANDU, June 25: With 434 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, Nepal's Covid-19 tally has climbed to 11162, the Health Ministry (MoHP) said.
At a daily media briefing, Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for the MoHP, said that 386 males and 48 females tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours at 22 health laboratories across the country.
According to Gautam, the country's COVID-19 death toll climbed to 26 after two persons succumbed to coronavirus infection.
"A 50-year-old man who was also a kidney patient died of coronavirus while undergoing treatment at the Lalipur-based Patan Hospital on Thursday," he said.
Likewise, a 55-year-old man from Syangja died of coronavirus in course of treatment in Pokhara on Wednesday, the spokesperson said.
