KATHMANDU, May 13: Nepal’s COVID-19 tally jumped to 243 as 24 new cases were confirmed on Wednesday evening.
According to joint spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikary, nine males (aged 22, 22, 25, 28, 30, 32, 33, and 41) and three females (aged 4, 10 and 28) from Rupandehi district and eight men (aged 22, 29, 32, 40, 40, 40, 42 and 42) from Kapilvastu were diagnosed with the viral disease. Moreover, two males ( aged 36 and 74) and a 36-year-old woman from Parsa and a 36-year-old man of Nawalparasi district also tested positive for coronavirus at the Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory.
Adhikari also said that they all are normal and are in regular contact with health personnel. The ministry also confirmed two other cases earlier today.
