KATHMANDU, Nov 27: With 1,703 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past one day, Nepal's coronavirus case tally has reached 229,343.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,703 new cases were detected through 104,60 PCR tests conducted at various laboratories across the country.
At least 1,236 people who had earlier tested positive for the coronavirus have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours, the ministry stated. With this, the number of coronavirus patients discharged after recovery has risen to 209,435.
As many as 23 fatalities linked with COVID-19 were reported in the past one day, taking the country's coronavirus death tally to 1,435.
The ministry also stated on its website that there are currently 17,237 active cases of the coronavirus across the country.
