KATHMANDU, Jan 10: The Cabinet has decided to recommend to President Bidya Devi Bhandari to conclude the winter session of the National Assembly from Sunday midnight.
A Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Baluwatar made a decision to this effect today, according to a Cabinet minister who attended the meeting. Upon the recommendation of the Cabinet, President Bhandari will prorogue the winter session of the National Assembly this afternoon.
Lumbini Province Assembly session prorogued
Chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timalisna, also informed the lawmakers during a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of parliament that the winter session of the National Assembly is being concluded today.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the National Assembly meeting this afternoon. He will also table the annual report of the Tharu Commission.
The winter session of parliament, which began on January 1, witnessed four meetings as of today.
