KATHMANDU, April 28: The winter session of the House of Representatives (HoR) will end today. According to sources at the Parliament Secretariat, the meeting that will be held shortly today will be the last meeting of the winter session.
In today's meeting, the main opposition CPN-UML is preparing to draw the government's attention to the matter of providing grants to the Maoist fighters who were disqualified in the verification process conducted by the United Nations Missions in Nepal (UNMIN).
The Speaker also has an agenda to inform about the 10 members who will be in different thematic committees.
But a special committee will not be formed to finalize the transitional justice bill. A few days ago, the three main parties had agreed to form a special committee. But as the main opposition CPN-UML is not ready now, today's meeting will not form a committee, according to a member of parliament of the ruling party.
