Winter has arrived in Nepal with the temperature gradually plummeting and the nights becoming increasingly cold. As a result, people's outfits start getting thicker and heavier to keep them warm.  But it doesn’t mean that winter cannot be made fashionable and stylish like the summer. Nonetheless, people love to flaunt winter gears and fashionably warm clothes.

Winter may be different for different people depending on where and how they live. My City’s Kiran Lama talked to four celebrities to learn their plan for winter outfit.

What is winter fashion for you?

For me, winter fashion is all about keeping the body warm. It is also time to switch from thin and light clothes to heavy and warm ones. It would be different for different people.

What are you planning for winter?

Last week, I bought down jackets, trousers, and trekking suit from Woodland and North face. And these are the winter clothes for me. I’m not planning to buy for five years at the moment.

Which is your favorite winter gear?

Actually, I’m a big fan of vintage and old fashioned clothes. Classic leather jackets, oversized outfits like overcoat are my favorite winter gears. Grey and combat colors attract me. Grey polar glove is one of my favorites.

Trending winter clothes for you?

I think it’s down jacket, leather jacket, trouser are the trending outfits for the winter. Because, these clothes keep you warm and stylish.

Any tips for winter?

Be careful when you buy winter clothes because they are expensive than summer clothes. And buy clothes that you like rather than that which suit you.

What is winter fashion for you?

Basically for me winter fashion is to look stylish and cool, and also to stay healthy through warm clothes. So overall it is fashionable and healthy.

What are you planning for winter?

This winter, I want to look classic. So, I am planning to buy a sweater, woolen shirt, coat, hoodie and casual shoes.  

Which is your favorite winter gear?

Actually, I prefer hoodie and also trousers when I’m at home. But the most favorite is down jacket because I’ve to travel time to time and down jacket is good for that due to light weight.

Trending winter clothes for you ?

Leather jackets, down jackets and hoodie are the common gears that I see in K-town. So, for me these are the trending winter clothes.

Any tips for winter?

Be stylish! But do care about your health also.

What is winter fashion for you?

To be honest, I really don’t have fashion sense. But for winter, fashion means to look comfortable and warm. If you are not comfortable with what you wear, you will not feel confident. 

What are you planning for winter?

Well, I’m planning to buy a hoodie because it keeps me warm and also make me comfortable. And I’m a regular customer of KTM City where I find clothes that I would like to wear. Besides that, Gold Star boot is in my bucket list for winter.

Which is your favorite winter gear?

Hoodie is my favorite winter gear because I feel comfortable and warm in it. Besides, pasmina scarf is also my favorite. I recently bought one from Thamel.

I think leather jackets, Pasmina scarf, and down jacket are the trendy gears for K-town.

Stay warm and comfortable. And care for your skin.

What is winter fashion for you?

For me, winter fashion is basically to keep the body warm because the temperature is low. I do not compromise warmth with style. 

What are you planning for winter?

I have bought short and long boots, and also coat for winter. And I am planning to buy sweater and down jacket to keep me warm in winter. I wear designer clothes only for special occasions like wedding. 

Which is your favorite winter gear?

 I usually wear leather jacket. That is my favorite wear. Down and super-down jackets are the needs for the winter. I wear down jacket even during training.

Long sweater, coat, down jacket, scarf, and woolen gloves are trendy clothes that I see most common among girls. So these are in fashionable gears for winter.

Any tips for winter?

I suggest wearing long boot and coat and also leather clothes because they keep me warm. And eat hot food!
