PALPA, June 1: Dang and Kathmandu bagged wins in the ongoing ANFA Women's League Championship on Thursday as they defeated Mahottari and Kanchanpur respectively.
In the matches played in Palpa, Basanti Baral Magar scored three goals in Dang's 3-0 win over Mahottari while Jharana Rana replied for the losing side.
In the second match of the day, Kathmandu overcame Kanchanpur with the score line of 4-0. Priti Rai netted brace for Kathmandu while Ritu Gubhaju and Muna Tamang added one goal each. Similarly in the last match of the day, Makwanpur and Bhojpur played goalless draw.
Similarly in other part of the league being played in Syangja, Dhankuta registered 1-0 victory over Panchthar while Sunsari and Sarlahi settled for 1-1 draw. Tirtha Limbu scored only goal for Dhankuta. Meanwhile, home team Syangja faced 0-6 defeat at the hands of Rautahat.
Rashmi Ghising netted four goals for winning side Rautahat while Nisha Thokar and Rajani Thokar added one goal each.
