KATHMANDU,June27: Baba School started its journey of the Morgan Cup 12th Women's and 13th Men's National Club-wide Basketball Tournament with win in the men's section on Sunday in Kathmandu.
Baba recorded 63-37 win over KEC with Anish Magar scoring highest 16 points for the winner. Although, Baba lost the first quarter 4-10, it bounced back to win the last three quarters. Baba claimed the second quarter 26-10 and continued the domination in the third quarter as well by winning it 19-5.
The last quarter was quite competitive but Baba took it 14-12. Similarly, in the women's section, Prime defeated Morgan 48-19. Prime dominated the opponent from the first quarter and kept the same momentum throughout the match.
Prime took the first quarter 15-7 and won the second quarter 11-2. Morgan showed no sign of improvement even going down in the first two quarters and lost the third one 12-2.
The last quarter was competitive one but it was too late for Morgan to bounce back as Prime won the quarter 10-8.
