KATHMANDU, June 18: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that he will sign some bilateral agreements during his China visit.
Briefing a Federal Parliament meeting about his imminent China visit in New Baneshwar on Monday, Prime Minister Oli said, “I will sign some bilateral agreements with China to open additional corridors during my China visit.”
Oli further said that his visit will focus on how to bring Chinese investment and Chinese tourists into Nepal.
Oli, however, has assured that no agreements will be signed against the national interest during his visit.
Stating that a multi-party federal democratic republican and socialism-orientated political system can only result in social justice and development in the country, Oli said the government will now put efforts toward achieving this goal.
“To realise the goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali,’ we should also capitalize on the prosperity of our neighboring countries that have already taken a giant leap in the sector of development. That is why we are rendering efforts toward improving ties with our immediate neighbors of late,” said Oli.
Prime Minister Oli will embark on China visit tomorrow (June 19) and will return home on June 24.
