JAJARKOT, Aug 30: The whereabouts of the commander of Nepal Army Nandabox Battalion in Dunai, Dolpa, are still unknown. There is no trace of him, although four days have elapsed since his disappearance.
According to the chief of the District Police Office, Dolpa, DSP Shiva Budhathoki, Nepal Army Major Bimal Pundit who had set out to market from the Bhadale-based battalion at around 3.00 PM on Sunday did not return till the evening. The search for the missing Major was initiated when he remained out of communications.
The whereabouts of Major Pundit have not been traced despite intense search in the area, including Tripurkot and Jufal Bazaar since Sunday evening.

DSP Budhathoki informed RSS that the mobile phone of Major Pundit is also switched off.
A large number of Nepal Army, Armed Police and Nepal Police personnel have been mobilized to search for the missing army Major.
Chief District Officer of Dolpa, Bhumiswor Pokharel, said it was difficult to carry out search operations as his personal security officer was not accompanying him.
