Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has revealed that he has been arrested in police custody and has been in detention for one day.

Interviewing on the talk show of the famous American presenter David Letterman on Netflix, Shah Rukh said he had been arrested for allegedly abusing and threatening a magazine editor.

David questioned Shah Rukh about the news of him being published in the magazine and going to jail. In response, Shah Rukh told that he was not satisfied with the magazine's gossip article and when he phoned the editor of the magazine, the editor said to him to take it as a joke.

"So I said, 'I don't find it funny.' So I went down to the office and I misbehaved a lot,” Shah Rukh said.

After this incident, Shah Rukh was busy in shooting for a movie. Police arrived at the shooting set and requested Shah Rukh to go with him. Initially, Shah Rukh went along with the policeman to say that he was a fan. Police then requested him to stay in the car.

However, it was later learned that he was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the editor of the magazine. 'Then I went with them. The first time I saw the prison room which was too small and very dirty,” Shah Rukh recalled.

At that time, Shah Rukh had to spend one day in police custody. He was later released on bail. Shahrukh revealed that he had returned to the editor's house even after his release.

Actually, this was in 1993 when Shah Rukh was shooting a movie entitled ‘Maya Memsaab’ with actress Deepa Sahi. About the film, Cine Blitz—a popular tabloid published news that the film’s director, Keten Mehta, asked Shah Rukh and his wife (Deepa) to stay together for one night, which would make it easier for them to understand and love each other.

From this gossip, Shah Rukh went to the magazine office and threatened to kill the reporter.

In the interview which was premiered on October 25, he shared various events of his career. Also, he spoke openly about family and children.
