KATHMANDU, Dec 20:  It is currently partially cloudy in the hill areas and foggy in the Terai region, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

There is a possibility of light rain at one or two places in the hill areas of Province 1. The weather will be moderately cloudy in Province 1 and remain partly cloudy in the rest of the provinces. In the high altitudes of the hill districts of Province 1, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, there is also a possibility of light snowfall.

In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light rain at  some places in the hill areas of Province 1 and light snowfall at some places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Province 1, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province. There is a possibility of fog and gradual decrease in temperature in most parts of the country and the department has appealed to everyone to take necessary safety measures.
