KATHMANDU, July 4: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has stated that monsoon winds are currently affecting the entire country, with the monsoon trough located near its average position.
This afternoon, skies across the country are expected to remain generally cloudy. According to the DHM, light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers is likely in many areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as at a few locations in other provinces.
Heavy rainfall forecast in Bagmati, several provinces
Heavy rainfall is expected at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall are also likely in some parts of the country’s high hilly and Himalayan regions.
Similarly, for tonight, partly to generally cloudy weather is expected across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at locations in other provinces.
The DHM has also forecast heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Some high hilly and Himalayan areas may also experience light to moderate rain and snowfall.
