KATHMANDU, Oct 5: There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the country this Dashain, according to meteorologists.

The monsoon season usually ends on October 2. However, this year, the monsoon has exceeded October 2. According to senior meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar, the monsoon is likely to be active for another week to 10 days.

According to meteorologists, it is likely to be sunny in the morning, cloudy in the afternoon and light to moderate rain in the evening. The average rainfall this year has been above average.

Similarly, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Karnali and Far-Western provinces and a few places in the rest of the country, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division.
