KATHMANDU, Jan6: CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that his party will never allow the endorsement of any ‘antinational bill including the constitution amendment bills registered by the government’ through parliament.

“We won’t allow the approval of the antinational constitution amendment bill by the House because it is unconstitutional and antinational,” said Oli while addressing a protest assembly organized by nine opposition parties at Bhrkutimandap on Friday.

Stating that though the constitution has been issued, its implementation remains, Oli stressed on the need for holding elections for the implementation of the constitution.

“There are only some 11 months left to hold the all three levels of elections. But the government is least bothered about holding elections. If all three elections are not held by Magh 2074 BS, the country will plunge into a constitutional crisis,” said Oli.

Instead of preparing for elections, the government is beating the trumpet of constitution’s amendment, Oli remarked.

Speaking on the occasion, Oli said that the people in the capital have been aroused by the nationalist campaign led by CPN-UML.  This campaign should be launched from Mechi to Mahakali to create awareness among the Nepali people, added Oli.
