KATHMANDU, May 21: Unity Life International (ULI) has claimed that it still has assets of over Rs 4 billion and it is financially sound enough to return the fees and deposits of members, if they so wish.



Issuing a press statement, the company has said that it has reached the conclusion that the act of searching its members is a violation of fundamental rights that allows people to be freely engaged in businesses.



"We are committed to return people´s money by liquidating our fixed and movable assets, if they demand," reads the statement.



The statement is undersigned by Unity Chairman Kashi Ram (Prasad) Gurung and Managing Director Bishnu Bahadur Chhetri, who are being sought by police on charges of fraud.
