Water supply minister quits

KATHMANDU, July 21: Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation Prem Bahadur Singh has resigned on Wednesday.  

Talking to Republica, Singh, who is the chairman of Samajbadi Janta Party, said that he decided to resign the post after his party decided to withdraw its support to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led government and recall the party's minister. Singh's party had decided to withdraw its support on Sunday.  

“Our party members will now hold talks to decide whether to vote in favor of the no-confidence motion registered in the parliament against Prime Minister Oli or to vote against it,” he said, adding, his party will stress on forming a new consensus government.
