Butwal, March 30: Three people, including the ward chairman and chief administrative officer of Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality ward number 7, have been arrested with 50,000 bribe money.
A team of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority’s butwal-based office arrested ward chairman Bhim Bahadur Yadav and chief administrative officer Anantamani Marasini with the bribe money.
A middleman Binod Bhar is among those arrested. They were arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by a local stating that they demand bribes related to gravel sand mining.
Ramakrishna Adhikari, information officer of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Butwal, informed that they were arrested at 11:30 in the morning by the authority's team from Chamena House of the rural municipality.
