PHALEBAS (Parbat), July 22: The Waling-Huwas road that links over a dozen VDCs in the district has been obstructed by mudslides triggered by incessant rains since last night.
The landslips have occurred at various places of the road at Dumre Bhanjyang bordering Kalikakot of Syangja, blocking the under construction road.
With the road obstruction, local people are facing difficulties for want of transportation.

Likewise, the Pokhara-Baglung Highway that was obstructed since last night, following soil erosion was opened at 9 am today morning.
The road was opened only for one-way traffic however.
Similarly, residents of Setibeni at the border of Parbat, Syangja and Gulmi are in fear of being swept away by the swollen Kaligandaki River.
Water level in the river has risen significantly due to torrential rains since Thursday, posing a risk to the human settlements along the river.
"The river flow is only two feet away to hit the local bazaar. Now for immediate remedy for the risk, local people are asked to prepare to move to safety.
The bazaar is at risk of inundation anytime if rains do not relent soon," said chief of local police beat, Chandra Neupane. RSS
