KATHMANDU, Sept 19: Vice President, Nanda Bahadur Pun, today held talks with Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, on the sidelines of the 17th Summit of the Heads of State /Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Venezuela.
The two discussed the non-aligned movement and subjects of mutual interest, Foreign Ministry said. The meeting was participated by Venezuela's Foreign Affairs Minister and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister for Asia.
Likewise, VP Pun also met with Indian Vice President, Mohammad Hamid Ansari. On the occasion, they discussed Nepal – India relations.
VP Pun also held talks with United Nations Under Secretary-General, Kim Won-soo, during which matters relating to establishment of peace and disarmament office in Kathmandu were discussed. They also touched on UN – Nepal relations, according to Foreign Ministry.
All of the meetings were attended by high officials of the Nepali delegation taking part in the NAM's 17th Summit. RSS
