Vote count of 88 constituencies concludes; NC wins 33 seats, UML 19 and Maoist Center nine seats

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: The Election Commission (EC) has concluded the vote count of elections to the House of Representatives (HoR), held on Sunday, in 88 constituencies.

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: The Election Commission (EC) has concluded the vote count of elections to the House of Representatives (HoR), held on Sunday, in 88 constituencies.


Of the total 165 constituencies, the voting results of 77 constituencies are yet to be finalized. As of now, Nepali Congress (NC) has won 33 seats in the HoR, the largest among all. NC’s candidates have been leading in 20 constituencies, of which the vote counting is undergoing.

The CPN-UML has secured 19 seats so far and stands in second position. The left-wing political party has been leading in 28 constituencies. Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) has won nine seats while it is leading in eight constituencies.


The CPN (Unified Socialist) has secured seven seats and is leading in three constituencies. Rastriya Swatantra Party has won six seats and is leading in two while Rastriya Prajatantra Party has won three seats and is leading in three. 


Loktantrik Samajwadi Party has won two seats and Janata Samajwadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party have each secured one seat in the HoR.
