Visually impaired examinees can keep ninth grader as aide in SLC examination

BHAKTAPUR, March 15: The Office of Examination Control has specified an arrangement that a visually impaired examinees can use ninth grader as their aide in the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination this year.

At a press conference organized at the office today, Examination Controller Bishnu Bahadur Dware said the new provision has replaced earlier arrangement allowing visually impaired SLC examinee use eighth grader as assistant in the examination.


Likewise, the Office is set to disclose the control list with comprehensive details of SLC examinees through www.soce.gov.np from this year.

The website will have information such as school name, examinee name, date of birth, major subjects and subjects attempted in the SLC examination, among others.

Controller Dware further said, "The new system has been put in place from this year to avoid errors and allow opportunities for correction in publishing SLC results".

On the occasion, Education Secretary Biswo Prakash Pandit said the examinees attending technical subject in the SLC this year will be allowed to pursue same subject in grade 11. RSS
