Visiting Indian CEOs, investors meet PM

KATHMANDU, March 27: A group of CEOs and investors from India visiting Nepal for the International Entrepreneurship Conclave -- Connect-IN have met Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli.

"The visiting CEOs and investors called on Prime Minister Oli on Monday and shared their ideas on connecting entrepreneurial ecosystem of Nepal and India," a statement issued by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, stated. Seven CEOs and investors from India and eight from Nepal addressed the conclave on Saturday. Over 300 young entrepreneurs from both countries participated in the conclave which saw participation of entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, consultants and start-up ecosystem players from both Nepal and India, according to the statement.


According to the organizers, more than 30 start-ups showed interest in pitching for investment, 19 were screened for auditions and five start-ups made their business pitches at the finale. The event was organized by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu in association with Clock Business Innovations.
