The Vision- 2020 has included ten different programmes related to sexual and reproductive rights of the people.[break]
Establishing sexual and reproductive rights as an indicator of development, reducing the gap between the people having an access to reproductive rights and those deprived of such rights and ending discriminations against women and girls are the targets set by the Vision.
Other visions set by the Association made public at a programme organised by the Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN) are related to establishing the sexual and reproductive rights as human rights, reducing maternal mortality rate by 75 per cent, ensuring sex education to all and making sufficient investment for attaining such goals.
Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Praveen Mishra said the health–related issues including the sexual and productive rights are top priority of the government.
Association Chairman Amu Singh Sijapati and Director General KP Bista stressed the need of providing sex education to youth community to meet the millennium development goals.
