Vincenzo Alberto Annese is the head coach of the Nepali national football team

KATHMANDU, March 1: Vincenzo Alberto Annese, an Italian professional football manager and former player, has been appointed as the head coach of the Nepali national football team.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Wednesday appointed Vincenzo as the head coach of the national football team.

After the previous head coach Abdullah Al Mutairi resigned last August, the Nepali team was without a head coach.

ANFA had invited applications for the post of the head coach and received a total of 168 applications. The Recruitment Committee of ANFA had shortlisted 20 applicants and then selected Annese.
