Vice President Yadav off to China

Kathmandu, Aug 14: Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav set out for China today on a six-day visit.

Kathmandu, Aug 14: Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav on Monday embarked on a six-day visit to China.


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, House of Representatives Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Chairperson of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Purna Bahadur Khadka, along with Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud, chiefs of the security agencies and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song as well as high-ranking officials of the government among others were present at Tribhuvan International Airport's VVIP lounge to see off Vice President Yadav.

Vice President Yadav is going to attend the 7th China South Asia Expo and the 27th China Kunming Import and Export Fair, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).


The Vice President will lead a Nepali delegation to the Fair to be held in Kunming from August 16 to 20.  He will be accompanied by his spouse Champadevi Yadav, Secretary at the Office of Vice President Madhusudan Burlakoti, his personal secretary, personal doctor Bikram Silwal and two security personnel, it is said.
