Veteran musician, Norden Tenzing has passed away at the age of 69. He was suffering from throat cancer.
Tenzing was the vocalist of the legendary ensemble, ‘The Himalayan Band’. The group was mostly known for the hit numbers like ‘Musu Musu Hasi Deu’, ‘Malai Dherai Dherai Maya’, ‘Aakasaima Chil Udyo’, ‘Kaha Timro Mayalu Lai’ and many more.

The famous track, ‘Musu Musu Hasi Deu’ also got the Bollywood limelight, when Shaan (Indian playback singer) sang the song with Nepali and Hindi mix in the movie ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’. The remix is considered one of the hit songs in Bollywood.
On the demise of the legend, Nepali musician Abhaya Subba Weise said on her Facebook profile, “Thank you for the beautiful songs and the memories extracted from them for all of us. I mourn your passing but I will always celebrate the joy you brought all of us with your songs. Goodbye. Rest in Peace.”
