CHITWAN, July 20: Vehicular movement along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section has been disrupted since Monday morning after landslides occurred at Charkilo area in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-6.
The area has witnessed heavy rainfall for the past two days. The District Police Office, Chitwan, has urged the people to take precautionary measures keeping in mind that a huge amount of boulders have kept falling from the mountain adjacent to the disrupted highway.
Two electric pylons have also been buried due to the landslides, according to Chitwan District Police. Local authorities are working to resume the vehicular movement by clearing the debris. The Charkilo area has witnessed frequent road disruption.
