KATHMANDU, Sept 11: A US dollar, which has been on upward spiral for the last few weeks, has become dearer by a rupee today.
Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank of Nepal, has fixed selling price of USD at Rs 116.23 while buying rate is at Rs 115.63 today.

With Indian Rupee losing its value against US dollar, Nepali Rupee has also suffered a loss. A Nepali Rupee is pegged at Rs 160 against Indian Rupee while today’s exchange rate of a US dollar against Indian Rupee is 72.36.
With the increasing demand of US dollar, its impact has been seen on the entire world’s economy.
Dollars got stashed in the United States of America after Americans living abroad including India chose their own country as the safest and more lucrative destination.
The demands of the USD soared up after US President Donald Trump adopted a new strategy to boost national economy.
