KATHMANDU, Jan 5: US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Monday.
Ambassador Thompson, who is set to return home upon completing his tenure, met the prime minister at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki expressed her sincere appreciation, stating that Nepal–US relations further strengthened during Ambassador Thompson’s tenure.
Ambassador Thompson said that US assistance to Nepal would continue and expressed confidence that bilateral relations would remain cordial in the coming days.
