KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Co-chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the upcoming by-election is going to be a litmus test for the current government to demonstrate its popularity.
Addressing his party cadres in the capital, Dahal urged the party cadres to secure party's victory in the by-election. "There are some elements who are claiming that the government has become unpopular. Hence, the upcoming by-election is going to be a litmus test for the current government to show its popularity. I urge you all to work seriously so that our party could ensure its victory," he said.
The by-election is scheduled to be held on November 30.
