Unvaccinated children to be administered COVID-19 vaccines in Kathmandu till Feb 3

KATHMANDU, Jan 29: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started administering COVID-19 vaccines to students (between 12 to 17 years), who have not received a single dose of vaccination against COVID-19.

The KMC has designated Paropakar Maternity and Women’s hospital and Birendra Sainik Hospital to administer the vaccines to all eligible children. 

All eligible children will have to carry a document to prove their age in order to receive the vaccines at the designated hospitals. The vaccines will be administered to the designated age group till February 3. 

There are as many as 65,000 children between 12 to 17 years in Kathmandu Valley. Of them, 50,000 have already received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
