KATHMANDU, June 27: The first central council meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) is scheduled to be held on June 27 at Nepal Academy in Kathmandu.
The meeting will discuss the party's organizational activities across the country, review local level elections, election-targeted programs for the upcoming House of Representatives and provincial assembly elections, and some reports presented at the recent Central Committee meeting, said Shambhu Shrestha, Deputy Chief of the Publicity Department.
Similarly, special discussion will be held on the political report of party General Secretary Dr Beduram Bhusal. The report states that the party was established by revolting from the then CPN-UML for the protection of the constitution and political system in the country. Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal will inaugurate the council meeting which will be attended by about 1,500 participants from across the country.
