BHOJPUR, May 8: An unidentified person attacked a poll candidate for ward member in Shadananda Municipality-10 in the district with a khukuri in the locality on Saturday night.

The injured Amita Tamang sustained head injuries and received four stitches, said the District Police Office, Bhojpur. Police said a search is being conducted to nab the culprit behind the attack. Tamang received minor injuries due to the attack. Her health condition is said to be out of danger.
