Unidentified group sets fire to UML candidate's vehicle

DHADING, May 6: An unidentified group set fire to the vehicle, Ba 9 Cha 8929,  that UML ward level candidate in Dhading district was using for election purpose in the wee  hours of Saturday .  

UML candidate Raj Kumar Paudel who is contesting the local level polls slated for May 14 as ward chairperson from Thakre Rural Municipality of Dhading district had parked the car in front of his house.

According to an eyewitness, an unidentified group composed of three persons broke the vehicle’s glass and set fire to the vehicle at 2 am today.

The fire that was going to gut the vehicle completely was doused by the police with the help of locals, said Police Inspector Jiban Niraula of Area Police Office, Gajuri.

The probe into the incident is under way, Niraula told Republica Online.
