Underage singer says she does not have any intention of taking compensation amount

KATHMANDU,

In the case involving actor Paul Shah (Purna Bikram Shah), the victim of the case, an underage singer said that according to the court's verdict, she did not demand any compensation and had no intention of taking the money.

Posting a status on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, the singer wrote, “My sincere greetings to all the listeners and viewers who love me and support me. This is something that everyone here is aware of. I have been experiencing a tragic event for a long time. This incident is a tragic incident for both me and Nepali entertainment/film industry. The shameful pictures and insults against me on social media have had a negative impact on my psyche.”

She further stated, “Please consider my problem as if it was your own. Talking about the issue of money, I have not asked for compensation or any other amount of money and also have not received any amount. I have no intention of taking that amount for compensation. I will take a stand for myself. I hope that your support and positive thoughts will help me in my musical career as well.”

Earlier, she filed two separate case against actor Shah  - one at the District Police Office, Tanahun, and the other with Nawalpur Police - accusing him of raping her.
