UML takes lead with 9,000 votes in KMC mayoral poll

UML candidate for KMC Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya

KATHMANDU, May 22: CPN-UML mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolitan Bidya Sundar Shakya is taking the lead with 9,000 votes.

Of the total 96,000 votes counted so far, Shakya is ahead with 31, 167 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Raju Raj Joshi is following him with 22, 280 votes.

Bibeksheel Nepali Party candidate Ranju Neupane is in the third position with 12, 221 votes while Sajha Party candidate Kishor Thapa is trailing way behind with 9, 184 votes.
