KATHMANDU, Oct 2: The first statute convention of the main opposition CPN-UML that kicked off on Friday is to continue on Saturday as well. The convention being held at the Godawari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur will discuss the statute amendment proposal, political report and the organizational report presented at the convention on Friday.
According to Khim Lal Bhattarai, a central member of the UML, group discussions will be held among 10 different groups at the convention on the statute amendment proposal, political report and the organizational report which were presented at the convention yesterday. Then the group leaders will present the reports at 2PM.

Following the presentation, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will respond to the suggestions regarding the political report, General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel will respond to the suggestions on the organizational report and Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel will respond to the queries on the statute amendment proposal.
According to Yogesh Bhattarai, chief of the publicity department of the party, a presidium has been formed under the leadership of Chairman KP Sharma Oli to conduct the convention in a systematic way. Similarly, a proposal draft committee, suggestion study committee, debate note committee and publicity coordination committee have also been formed. As many as 6,347 representatives are taking part in the statute convention. The convention will conclude on Sunday.
