KATHMANDU, Nov 12: CPN-UML Secretary Gokarna Bista has said that the government has been making attempts to invite constitutional crisis in the country in the name of constitution amendment.
At a program organized by CPN-UML Lalitpur Constituency No 2, leader Bista blamed the ruling parties for trying to invite constitutional crisis by amending the constitution rather than implementing it.
He further said that issues of naturalized citizenship among others were raised to bring constitutional crisis in the country.
Saying that different forces are active to undermine constitution implementation, the CPN-UML Secretary mentioned that the issue of appointment of those acquiring naturalized citizenship to constitutional bodies after 10 years would snatch the rights of the bona fide Nepalis.
He said it would not acceptable to the CPN-UML if attempts were made to amend the constitution under the influence of foreign forces. RSS
