KAKARVITTA, March 4: CPN-UML began its 15-day long Mechi Mahakali National Campaign.

Coinciding the program with the 'Sukhani Martyrs' Day', UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli declared the beginning of the campaign in Kakarvitta, Jhapa and handed over the party's flag to Province 1 in-charge Bhim Acharya.

Inaugurating the campaign, Chairman Oli said that the campaign is for the implementation of the constitution and it is not targeted against any political forces.

Oli reiterated that it is a time to focus on constitution implementation and reaffirmed that UML will not let the constitution amendment bill get endorsed from the parliament.

He said that UML would respect only people's mandate and argued that the constitution amendment is not  the demand of people for the moment.
