KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Yogendra Mandal, a rebel candidate of CPN-UML, has been elected from Morang-5.
The independent candidate Mandal defeated his nearest contender Shiva Kumar Mandal of Maoist Center by 4,334 votes. The rebel candidate Mandal has secured 21,820 votes. Raj Kumar Yadav from the alliance of UML and Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal garnered 17,390 votes.
