KATHMANDU, July 19: CPN (UML) Senior Vice Chairman of CPN-UML Ishwar Pokharel has said that UML is ready to contest the upcoming federal and provincial assembly election alone.

In a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal Province No. 1 Committee, he said that UML is ready to go alone in the elections, claiming that his party will achieve superiority in the upcoming central and province elections.

He also said that the country is moving towards the implementation of the constitution. Vice Chairman Pokharel said, “The Constitution is not unchangeable. This can be amended, if necessary,” he said.

Senior Vice Chairman Pokharel discussed that the naming of Province No. 1 is a matter of the jurisdiction of the Provincial Assembly. He said that it should be acceptable to all on the basis of common consent.
