KATHMANDU, Dec 28: The main position party, CPN-UML, which has been protesting the constitution amendment bill is to organize a demonstration in the Capital on 6 January, 2017 for which it has issued directive to all its cadres in the Kathmandu Valley to compulsorily partake in it.

A meeting of the UML's committee coordinated by UML General-Secretary Ishwar Pokharel held here today has issued the directive to all its cadres in the Kathmandu Valley towards this end.

The 50,000 UML cadres in the Kathmandu Valley will be joined by the leaders and cadres of eight others opposition parties, according to the UML.

UML and other fringe parties have been objecting the constitution amendment bill registered at the Legislature-Parliament on November 29, stating that it is against the sentiments of the public as well as national unity and communal amity.

The cadres will organize a rally commencing from Shanti Batika at Ratna Park and will convene at Pradarshani Marga in the Capital at 3:00 pm. RSS
