KATHMANDU, July 6: Today's session of the National Assembly was adjourned following obstruction from the CPN-UML. Once the meeting convened, the UML members rose from their seats, gesturing to the protest.

Terming the Prime Minister's remarks inappropriate, he said it was the decision of the UML parliamentary party to disapprove it. The UML lawmakers refused to take their seats, despite frequent requests from the Chairman Tmilsina to stop the protest and take their seats.

Timilsina assured that he would create an atmosphere for summoning the Prime Minister and listening to his views on the issue. He urged the UML to allow the Upper House conduct its business bearing in mind the sensitivity of the budget. Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Ramesh Rijal, was scheduled to present the 'Power Trade Bill, 2080 BS' in the Upper House session today.
