CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that the party is not in favor of changing the government.
Accusing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, of misusing his powers and being involved in breaking the CPN-UML, General Secretary Pokharel said that the obstructions in parliament will continue unless Speaker Sapokota is removed from his post.
Talking to media persons after reaching the Election Commission to register the party for the upcoming local level elections, he said that the obstruction in parliament will stop and that the party will take a necessary decision on MCC soon as the ruling coalition addresses the party’s demands. The party demands the removal of Speaker Sapkota from his post, Pokhrael said.
General Secretary Pokharel also argued that the mistake made by Speaker Sapkota during the split of CPN-UML should be corrected or he should resign in order to move democracy in the right direction and that the Nepali Congress should agree to it as well.
