CHITAWAN, May 15: CPN-UML's mayoral candidate Bijaya Subedi has taken a lead against Renu Dahal, a mayoral candidate of the ruling five-party alliance., in Bharatpur Metropolitan City 

Subedi has secured 14 more votes than Dahal as the counting of 7,727 votes was over. While Subedi has secured 2693 votes, Dahal has received 2679 votes. 

Dahal was leading Subedi by 121 votes when the counting of votes from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 was over.

Similarly, NC candidate Chitra Sen Adhikari is leading the deputy mayoral race of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. While Adhikari has secured 2,953 votes, his nearest rival Himal Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 2,162 votes so far.
