UML making public its views on country's economy today

KATHMANDU, April 10: The main opposition party, the CPN-UML, is set to make public its views on the country's economic situation today.


UML is going to make the party's stand public by holding a press conference at Hotel Himalaya in Kupondole of Lalitpur at 12:30 PM.

According to the UML, the press conference will be held in the presence of three former finance ministers. Bishnu Poudel, Surendra Pandey and Dr Yubraj Khatiwada, who have served as finance ministers from the UML in the past, will speak at the press conference.


According to the party, the press conference will also give a formal opinion on the suspension of Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari at a time when the economy is in crisis. On Saturday, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli had said that the country's economy was on a declining path.
