ILAM, Nov 26: CPN-UML candidate Subash Chandra Nembang has been elected as a member of House of Representatives (HoR) from Ilam-2. Nembang was elected by defeating Nepali Congress(NC) candidate Dambar Bahadur Khadka with a thin margin of 114 votes.
While Nembang secured a total of 30,020 votes, his nearest rival Khadka received 29,906 votes. Nembang was elected from the same constituency in the election held in 2017 as well.
Formal announcement of Nembang's victory is yet to be made.
