UML expels murder-accused Kushwaha

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: CPN-UML has decided to relieve its former CA member Ram Chandra Pyasi Kushwaha of his post as the Nepal Police detained him in connection with the murder of UML election candidate Mohammad Alam from Bara district.



In a statement, on Monday, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal informed he was expelled from even the party ordinary membership. [break]



Chairman Khanal has urged the police to carry out an effective investigation and punish all the culprits involved in the murder of Alam. Amid a press meet, the police made public Kushwaha and others who were involved in the murder of Alam on Sunday.



Joint investigation carried out by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in the coordination with the District and Regional Police Offices led to the arrest of Kushbaha and two persons, including two Indian nationals in connection with the murder of Alam, UML´s FPTP candidate from constituency-4 of Bara.
